Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
Sustained ProfitabilityNet income and margins have improved steadily through the period, indicating durable earnings quality. Consistent net margins (~18–22%) and rising profits support internal capital formation and reinvestment capacity, strengthening the bank's ability to fund growth and absorb shocks over months.
Conservative Balance SheetVery low leverage and material equity growth provide a durable capital buffer, reducing solvency risk and supporting lending capacity. Strong equity expansion versus modest debt keeps capital ratios robust, giving flexibility to pursue loan growth or withstand credit cycles over the coming months.
Recent Improvement In Cash GenerationOperating and free cash flows recovered strongly in 2025–2026, showing the franchise can convert profits into cash. Improved cash conversion enhances funding for organic growth, provisioning and shareholder returns, increasing financial resilience over a 2–6 month horizon if the trend persists.
Bears Say
Volatile Cash Conversion HistoryCash generation has swung materially across years, with notable negative operating/free cash flows in earlier periods. Such volatility reduces predictability of internally available funds for lending, capex or dividends and raises execution risk if cash conversion reverses again.
Slowing Revenue GrowthTop-line expansion has moderated recently, reducing momentum from prior higher growth rates. Slower revenue growth can constrain margin expansion and earnings upside, forcing greater reliance on cost efficiencies or non‑interest income to sustain profit growth over the medium term.
Uptick In BorrowingsWhile leverage remains low, the recent rise in borrowings signals a shift from prior ultra-conservative funding. If continued, higher debt could increase funding cost sensitivity and slightly erode capital flexibility, necessitating monitoring of funding mix and interest expense trends.
