Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Strong Revenue GrowthSustained top-line expansion over multiple years shows durable business momentum and expanding loan/deposit volumes. A doubling of revenue since 2021 supports ongoing scale benefits, underwriting capacity for new loans, and long-term revenue diversification across retail, MSME, agri and corporate segments.
Material Margin And Profit ImprovementLarge improvement in net income and margins indicates strengthened operating leverage and fee mix improvements. Higher margins enhance retained earnings build-up, improve capital cushions and support sustainable dividend or reinvestment policies absent major asset-quality shocks over the medium term.
Expanded Balance Sheet And Higher EquityMeaningful asset and equity growth provides capacity for lending expansion and absorbs loan losses. A larger equity base alongside moderate historical leverage suggests improved capital buffers, enabling strategic growth in core segments while meeting regulatory capital needs over the coming months.
Bears Say
Volatile Operating Cash FlowPronounced OCF and free-cash-flow variability raises execution and earnings durability risk: inconsistent cash generation can constrain loan origination pacing, provisioning capacity and discretionary spends. Even with 2026 positive flows, volatility complicates medium-term planning and capital allocation.
Sharp Rise In Debt In Latest YearA notable jump in borrowings increases funding and refinancing risk and can pressure net interest margins if funding costs rise. Missing up-to-date leverage metrics reduces visibility into capital efficiency and resilience should credit costs or interest expenses move against the bank.
Business Sensitivity To Interest, Asset QualityReliance on net interest income and deposit mix makes margins and earnings sensitive to rate cycles and credit deterioration. In a domestic banking context, adverse rate shifts or rising NPAs could erode recent margin gains and stress capital if provisioning needs rise materially over the medium term.
