Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Revenue ReboundThe sharp latest-year revenue recovery indicates improving lending activity and customer demand. If sustained, broader origination and servicing scale could strengthen the company’s revenue base over the next several quarters.
Return To Net ProfitA return to meaningful net profitability improves internal capital generation and demonstrates progress from losses in FY2022–FY2023. Continued earnings would support balance-sheet growth and provide greater resilience against credit costs.
Growing Equity BaseA larger equity base provides a stronger loss-absorption buffer for an NBFC and can support future lending capacity. Although leverage remains elevated, accumulated equity offers more protection than a shrinking capital base.
Bears Say
Persistent Operating LossesNegative EBIT indicates that core operating costs are not yet consistently covered by lending revenue. This weakens the durability of reported profits and suggests sustained improvement in operating efficiency is needed before earnings quality can be considered robust.
Weak Cash ConversionNegative cash generation alongside accounting profit raises concerns about earnings quality, working-capital demands, and credit-cycle effects. Repeated negative operating cash flow could limit internally funded growth and increase reliance on external financing.
Elevated LeverageThe company’s lending assets are substantially funded by debt, leaving sensitivity to funding costs, asset quality, and refinancing conditions. Elevated leverage can magnify losses and constrain flexibility if credit performance or profitability weakens.
