Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
High And Expanding ProfitabilitySustained high gross and net margins indicate pricing power, favorable product economics and operating discipline. This profitability provides internal funding for sales expansion, product development and regulatory work while supporting resilience if procedure growth moderates.
Artegraft Adoption And International ExpansionRapid Artegraft growth and approvals across 56 countries broaden LMAT’s addressable market and diversify its product mix. Further international approvals and surgeon adoption could create a durable growth engine beyond the company’s established vascular portfolio.
Strong Cash GenerationHigh-quality cash conversion gives LMAT flexibility to invest in manufacturing, warehouses, sales representatives and product development without relying heavily on external financing. Strong cash generation also improves resilience against supply, regulatory and demand-related setbacks.
Bears Say
Material Revenue Growth DecelerationThe recent slowdown raises concern that procedure demand, product adoption or execution may not sustain prior growth rates. If the deceleration persists, it could limit operating leverage and make ambitious sales-force and infrastructure investments less productive.
Outstanding FDA Quality ObservationsUnresolved FDA observations create an ongoing compliance and execution risk for a regulated medical-device manufacturer. Remediation may require management attention and added costs, while future findings could delay approvals, constrain operations or damage clinician confidence.
Quick Stick Clinical Development DelayA likely clinical trial delays commercialization and increases uncertainty around the return on investment for Quick Stick. The longer approval path may divert resources from other programs and postpones any contribution from the indication to the product portfolio.

Company Description
Lemaitre Vascular
Operating worldwide, LeMaitre Vascular, Inc. specializes in the development, distribution, and maintenance of medical devices and implants for treating peripheral vascular disease. Its product portfolio encompasses a range of catheters, including angioscopes, which are fiberoptic tools for internal blood vessel visualization; embolectomy catheters for removing blood clots from arteries or veins; occlusion catheters that temporarily halt blood flow; perfusion catheters for infusing blood and other fluids into the vasculature; and thrombectomy catheters, featuring a silicone balloon for extracting venous thrombi. The company also furnishes carotid shunts, designed to temporarily redirect blood flow to the brain during carotid endarterectomy surgery to clear arterial plaque. Another offering is radiopaque tape, a medical-grade adhesive applied externally to help interventionists precisely cross-reference skin locations with underlying anatomical features like vessels or lesions. Further products include valvulotomes, instruments used to cut or disrupt valves within the saphenous vein, enabling it to function as an arterial bypass to carry blood past diseased arteries to the lower leg or foot. Additionally, LeMaitre supplies vascular grafts for bypassing or replacing compromised arteries. Moreover, the company provides vascular and cardiac patches for post-surgical vessel closure. Its closure systems employ titanium clips for connecting vessels, offering an alternative to traditional sutures. Products are distributed via both its direct sales force and a network of distributors. Founded in 1983 as Vascutech, Inc., the company rebranded as LeMaitre Vascular, Inc. in April 2001. It is headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts.
LMAT Earnings Call
Q2 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call conveyed strong operational and financial performance: record operating income, double-digit organic growth (12% ex-catheter), expanding high-margin Artegraft adoption and meaningful margin expansion. Management also laid out aggressive commercial expansion (warehouses, sales hires) and clear product approval progress. Offsetting these positives were tangible near-term headwinds: FX effects, export disruptions from the Middle East conflict, cardiac allograft supply constraints, ongoing FDA quality observations, and a setback for the Quick Stick path that likely requires a clinical trial. Despite these challenges, the company maintained upward full-year profitability guidance (EPS +21%) and significant cash reserves, and management presented concrete remediation plans for supply and regulatory issues. On balance, the highlights outweigh the lowlights given strong margins, earnings growth, and clear commercialization momentum.View all LMAT earnings summariesLMAT Stock 12 Month Forecast
