Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Improved MarginsA ~66% gross margin and positive EBIT margin (~7%) in 2025 indicate durable operating leverage and improved cost control in core scaffolding and fitting-out services. Sustained margins enhance cash coverage of fixed costs, support competitive bidding, and create a buffer against cyclical revenue swings over months.
Return To Positive Operating And Free Cash FlowReversal to positive operating and free cash flow in 2025 after prior outflows demonstrates improved cash generation capacity. Even modest FCF strengthens liquidity, reduces near-term external funding needs, and allows limited reinvestment or debt reduction—an important structural shift if maintained across quarters.
Manageable LeverageDebt-to-equity of ~0.40 is conservative for engineering/construction peers, preserving financial flexibility. Manageable leverage reduces solvency risk during project delays, supports access to credit for working capital, and gives the firm capacity to bid for contracts without immediate refinancing pressure.
Bears Say
Net Losses PersistDespite better operating margins, a -8.7% net margin in 2025 means the company still consumes equity value and cannot yet deliver sustainable shareholder returns. Ongoing net losses limit retained earnings, constrain reserves for downturns, and require either sustained margin improvement or external capital to reach durable profitability.
Revenue ContractionA ~20% YoY revenue decline after multi-year shrinkage signals structural demand or market-share issues. Falling top line undermines operating leverage, makes fixed costs harder to absorb, and increases dependency on margin improvement and cost cuts to maintain cash flow, which may be hard to sustain long term.
Historically Volatile Cash GenerationAlthough 2025 showed positive cash flow, prior multi-year negative operating and free cash flow indicate inconsistent ability to convert earnings into liquidity. This volatility hampers long-term planning, raises refinancing risk in downturns, and weakens confidence that recent cash improvements are durable.
