Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
Consistent Multi-year Revenue GrowthSustained top-line growth across 2020–2025 indicates durable demand for the company’s tire products across OEM and replacement channels. Multi-year volume and revenue expansion supports scale economies, long-term manufacturing utilization and the ability to invest in product lines and distribution.
Material Balance Sheet ImprovementA substantially lower leverage profile through 2024 and meaningful equity growth materially increases financial resilience. Strong ROE (~19–20% in 2023–2024) alongside reduced debt gives management flexibility to fund capex, weather cycles and pursue strategic initiatives without relying on risky refinancing.
Positive Operating And Free Cash Flow Since 2022Consistent operating cash generation and resumed free cash flow since 2022 create a durable funding source for dividends, maintenance capex and selective expansion. Reliable cash generation reduces reliance on external financing and supports long-term shareholder returns and balance sheet repair.
Bears Say
2025 Earnings And Margin Step-downA clear deterioration in 2025 profitability versus 2023–2024 undermines margin sustainability and highlights exposure to cost pressures or an unfavorable product mix. If margins remain depressed, it will limit internal cash for reinvestment and weaken cushions built by prior deleveraging.
Increase In Total Debt In 2025Re-leveraging in 2025 reduces the financial flexibility gained through prior debt reduction. Higher debt on a weaker earnings base raises coverage risk, constrains strategic optionality, and could force spending cuts or higher financing costs if cash generation underperforms expectations.
Moderate FCF Conversion And Historical VolatilityOnly moderate conversion of accounting profits into free cash and prior negative FCF years point to working-capital sensitivity or episodic reinvestment needs. This volatility risks sustainability of dividends and slower deleveraging during downturns, making capital allocation outcomes less predictable.
