Its primary customers are international automobile manufacturers and other companies within the automotive sector. The company's broad product range includes a comprehensive suite of electric power steering (EPS) solutions, such as column, pinion, and rack assist systems, dual pinion EPS, remanufactured EPS units, intermediate shafts, and modular power packs. Nexteer also provides various hydraulic power steering products, which feature magnetic torque overlay, smart flow pumps, power steering pumps and reservoirs, in addition to rack and pinion and recirculating ball steering gears, along with aftermarket hydraulic components. Its steering column offerings are extensive, encompassing power and manually adjustable models (including tilt, rake, telescope, one-touch, and stowable designs), non-adjustable columns, intermediate shafts, transmission shifters, and integrated electronics, modules, and sub-assemblies. For driveline systems, Nexteer supplies front and rear wheel half shafts, intermediate drive shafts, and propeller shaft constant velocity joints. Furthermore, Nexteer is at the forefront of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and automated driving technologies. This includes innovations like steer-by-wire, steering on demand, quiet wheel steering, magnetic torque overlay, and high availability EPS, all designed to ensure robust operational reliability. Beyond manufacturing, the company also offers dedicated customer support and operates engineering centers globally. Established in 1906 and headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, Nexteer maintains a significant international footprint with operations across North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and South America. The company is a subsidiary of Nexteer Automotive (Hong Kong) Holdings Limited.
