Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Strong Liquidity And Capital CushionAeher's sizable cash balance after the ATM raise provides multi-quarter runway to fund capacity expansion, R&D, and customer ramps without immediate external financing. This materially reduces execution risk during a planned multi-fold revenue ramp and supports capital-intensive production scaling.
Record Bookings And Sizable BacklogA large, multi-month backlog and sharply higher bookings give forward revenue visibility and a pipeline to convert into production shipments. This demand base strengthens the sustainability of a multi-quarter growth trajectory and helps de-risk near-term revenue delivery as systems are fulfilled.
Technology & Product Leadership In GaN And Silicon PhotonicsProprietary wafer-level burn-in solutions for 300mm GaN and silicon photonics create high technical barriers and align with structural growth in power, RF, and optical markets. These differentiated capabilities support pricing power, customer stickiness, and addressable market expansion over multiple years.
Bears Say
Volatile Revenue And Recent Cash BurnThe company has swung from profitable periods to consecutive years of negative operating and free cash flow, indicating execution sensitivity. Continued cash burn during scaling raises funding reliance and magnifies the impact of missed bookings or shipment delays on long-term financial durability.
Supplier Cost And Lead-time PressuresSignificant supplier price hikes and long component lead times increase gross margin volatility and complicate capacity ramps. During high-growth scaling, procurement constraints and step-up costs can compress margins and delay deliveries, making profitable expansion harder to execute reliably.
Ongoing Patent Litigation And Legal UncertaintyActive international patent litigation consumes management attention, increases costs, and creates outcome uncertainty that can affect customer relationships and market access. Adverse rulings or prolonged disputes could impose injunctions, royalties, or legal expenses that erode operating leverage during a critical scale-up.

Company Description
Aehr Test
Aehr Test Systems, founded in 1977 and based in Fremont, California, specializes in the global provision of advanced burn-in and test systems for integrated circuits, encompassing logic, optical, and memory devices. Its extensive product lineup includes the ABTS and FOX-P families of test and burn-in solutions, complemented by specialized components such as the FOX WaferPak Aligner, FOX-XP WaferPak Contactor, FOX DiePak Carrier, and FOX DiePak Loader. The ABTS system is specifically designed for both production and qualification assessments of packaged parts, covering a range of lower and higher power logic devices, as well as various memory types. For more complex integrated circuits like memories, digital signal processors, microprocessors, microcontrollers, systems-on-a-chip, and integrated optical devices, the FOX-XP and FOX-NP systems facilitate burn-in and functional testing at both the wafer and individual die/module levels. Aehr's FOX-CP system offers a compact, single-wafer solution for verifying the reliability of logic, memory, and photonic devices. A distinguishing offering, the WaferPak Contactor, features an exclusive full-wafer probe card, accommodating wafers up to 300mm, which enables semiconductor manufacturers to conduct comprehensive wafer-level testing and burn-in on Aehr's FOX platforms. Furthermore, the DiePak Carrier provides a reusable, temporary packaging medium, empowering IC manufacturers to complete final testing and burn-in processes for bare die and modules.
AEHR Earnings Call
Q4 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call highlighted multiple strong operational and commercial positives: record bookings and backlog, robust Q4 revenue and margin expansion, large hyperscaler and AI customer momentum, successful technical benchmarks (including with a major AI processor supplier), technological milestones (300mm GaN), a much stronger cash position, and expanded manufacturing capacity. These positives underpin an aggressive FY27 revenue and profitability outlook. Headwinds include FY26 full-year revenue and margin declines, ongoing litigation costs, supplier/parts cost and lead-time pressures, higher operating expenses, and continued uncertainty around some end markets (silicon carbide recovery and memory opportunities). Overall, the constructive commercial wins, backlog, cash runway, and explicit guidance for substantial growth materially outweigh the lowlights, supporting a positive outlook for fiscal 2027, while acknowledging execution and supply-chain/legal risks that could affect delivery.View all AEHR earnings summariesAEHR Stock 12 Month Forecast
