Company Description
Wienerberger AG
Wienerberger AG, a Vienna, Austria-based company established in 1819, stands as a leading European producer and supplier of essential building materials, including bricks, roof tiles, concrete pavers, and pipe systems. The company manages its diverse operations through three key segments: Wienerberger Building Solutions, Wienerberger Piping Solutions, and North America. Its comprehensive portfolio for construction, under Wienerberger Building Solutions, features clay blocks for a variety of wall applications—exterior, interior (both load-bearing and non-load-bearing), partition, infill, and separating—marketed primarily as Porotherm and POROTON. For façades, the company offers Terca brand facing bricks and Argeton ceramic tiles, frequently utilized in commercial and public structures such as hospitals, schools, factories, and offices. Roofing requirements are addressed with clay roof tiles from the Koramic, Sandtoft, and Tondach brands. Additionally, it provides vitrified clay pipes, fittings, shafts, and accessories crucial for sewage infrastructure. Paving solutions include Semmelrock brand concrete and clay pavements, ideal for diverse settings from pedestrian zones and public spaces like train stations or airports to private terraces and gardens, complemented by Penter brand paving bricks and terrace tiles. The Wienerberger Piping Solutions division, operating under the Pipelife brand, specializes in plastic pipes, integrated pipe systems, and fittings. These products are engineered for vital applications such as wastewater management, rainwater drainage, sanitation and heating technology, and the distribution of energy, gas, and potable water.

WBRBF Earnings Call
Q1 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Neutral
The call presented a balanced picture: management characterized Q1 as a weather-driven, expected soft start and highlighted a clear recovery in March and April, strategic M&A (Italcer, NEWS Group), strong energy hedging (~80%), and reiterated full‑year EBITDA guidance of EUR 810 million backed by cost programs and planned property disposals. Offsetting this, there are material short-term headwinds — Q1 revenues were down 7% and operating EBITDA was weak (EUR 97m), North America showed steep declines (revenues -21%, EBITDA -37%), and management warned of renewed inflationary pressure (plastics/resins and broader input costs) and limited visibility from the Middle East conflict. Given the comparable recovery signals and strategic moves but meaningful regional weakness and inflation risk, the call reads as balanced with cautious confidence in execution and guidance.View all WBRBF earnings summariesWBRBF Stock 12 Month Forecast
