Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Revenue & Margin RecoveryTTM revenue growth (+20.6%) and a jump in gross margin to ~23% indicate improving unit economics from higher output and better recoveries. If operational gains persist and cost inflation is controlled, this trend supports a more durable pathway to sustained profitability over coming quarters.
Scaled Production & Cash GenerationA 36% production increase and ~3.0M AgEq output materially raise operating scale and revenue base, improving operating leverage. Sustained higher volumes improve cash generation potential and provide the operational foundation to fund growth capex and reduce per-unit costs over multiple quarters.
Strong Liquidity PositionA $236M cash balance, $214M working capital and an expected ~$70M VAT recovery strengthen near-term liquidity, lowering the need for immediate external financing. This funding buffer supports elevated 2026 capex and provides flexibility to execute multi-quarter projects without acute balance-sheet strain.
Bears Say
Persistent Negative Free Cash FlowDespite improving operating cash flow, free cash flow is still negative across reported periods, meaning cash is consumed after investment needs. Persistent negative FCF restricts financial flexibility, may force external funding for growth, and raises dilution or leverage risk over the medium term.
Rising Unit Costs & AISCAISC up 47% and direct cost/tonne rising 14% reflect structural cost pressures from purchased ore, royalties and peso strength. Sustained higher unit costs compress margins and increase the metal-price sensitivity of earnings, weakening margin resilience across commodity cycles.
Large CapEx & Permitting Risk (Pitarrilla)Pitarrilla requires ~$500–$600M capex and depends on TSF permitting, with timetable slippages noted. Large upfront capital and permitting execution risk can delay project returns, increase financing needs, and concentrate multi-quarter execution risk on a single major development.

EDR Earnings Call
Q2 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call emphasized strong operational momentum (notably large production gains, record revenue, a 300% increase in mine operating cash flow and a healthy cash position plus expected VAT recovery) and material project progress (Kolpa expansion, Terronera ramp-up, Pitarrilla feasibility). Offsetting items include significantly higher AISC and per‑tonne costs due to higher metal prices, purchased ore, royalties and currency/inflation pressure, plus incremental capital brought forward and some permitting/timing risk on Pitarrilla. On balance the positive operational and financial improvements materially outweigh the cost and timing headwinds, while management is investing to secure long-term capacity and growth.View all TSE:EDR earnings summariesEDR Stock 12 Month Forecast
