Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Customer Wins And Revenue DiversificationGrowth across food, restaurant, retail, QSR, and automotive customers broadens the revenue base and reduces dependence on industrial accounts. Wallet-share gains can deepen existing relationships and support recurring program expansion.
Operating Efficiency ImprovingLower SG&A despite revenue growth indicates productivity gains from operational initiatives. Sequential gross-profit and margin improvement suggests recent execution changes may support better cost absorption and create a foundation for future profitability.
Improving Cash Discipline And Debt ReductionPositive operating cash flow, faster receivables collection, and continued voluntary debt repayment improve financial flexibility. Sustained working-capital discipline could release cash for deleveraging and reduce funding pressure over the next several quarters.
Bears Say
Persistent Unprofitable OperationsRecurring losses show that the current service model is not yet producing adequate earnings after operating costs. Without durable margin expansion, cash generation may remain vulnerable and the company may have limited capacity to invest or reduce debt.
High Leverage And Weak Equity CushionDebt exceeding twice equity leaves a relatively thin capital cushion against operating setbacks. Negative returns and declining equity increase refinancing and covenant sensitivity, potentially diverting future cash flow from growth and business development.
Liquidity Dependence And Uneven Cash-flow HistoryThe low cash balance makes operations reliant on ongoing cash generation and borrowing capacity. Although recent cash flow improved, its uneven history raises concern that weaker margins, collections, or volumes could quickly constrain liquidity and debt-service flexibility.

Company Description
Quest Resource
Quest Resource Holding Corporation (QRHC) is a U.S.-based enterprise dedicated to delivering holistic solutions for the management, recycling, and repurposing of diverse waste streams and recyclable materials. The company's extensive service portfolio includes the collection, processing, and responsible disposal of a wide array of waste products. This encompasses automotive-related waste like motor oil, lubricants, oil filters, scrap tires, and oily water, as well as services for goods destruction. QRHC also handles organic wastes such as food waste, meat renderings, cooking oil, and grease trap waste. Furthermore, they manage common recyclables including plastics, cardboard, metal, glass, and mixed paper, alongside construction debris, and a broad spectrum of both regulated and unregulated solid, liquid, and gaseous waste materials. Supplemental offerings include the provision of antifreeze and windshield washer fluid, waste containment and compaction equipment (like dumpsters and compactors), and other ancillary support services. A core aspect of their mission is to provide landfill diversion strategies. QRHC caters to a varied clientele across numerous industries. This includes major retail operations (such as big box stores, grocers, and other retailers); the automotive sector, encompassing maintenance facilities, quick lubes, dealerships, and collision repair centers; transportation and logistics companies, including those with internal fleet operations; manufacturing facilities; multi-family residences and commercial properties; restaurant chains and food service operations; and construction and demolition project sites. The company promotes its services to these sectors through a direct sales force and strategic collaborative partnerships. Founded in 2002, the organization initially operated under the name Infinity Resources Holdings Corp. before officially rebranding as Quest Resource Holding Corporation in October 2013. Its corporate headquarters are situated in The Colony, Texas.
QRHC Earnings Call
Q2 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call conveyed cautious optimism: multiple operational wins, revenue growth (up 8% YoY, 4% sequential), improved sequential gross profit and marked SG&A reductions demonstrate meaningful progress from company initiatives. Improvements in cash generation, working capital metrics, and continued debt paydown further support a constructive trajectory. However, notable headwinds remain — YoY gross profit and margin compression driven by select industrial clients, an $11M goodwill impairment, a low reported cash balance ($1M), and continued macro/geopolitical uncertainty that is elongating sales cycles. On balance, positive developments (diversification, cost discipline, pipeline, improving cash flow and debt reduction) outweigh the lowlights, though management remains cautious.View all QRHC earnings summariesQRHC Stock 12 Month Forecast
