Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Improving LeverageDebt-to-equity falling to ~0.34 by FY2025 materially reduces financial leverage and interest burden, improving resilience to cyclical downturns. Lower leverage increases capacity for capital allocation (capex, dividends, debt paydown) and borrowing flexibility over the medium term.
Balance-sheet SupportSteady asset levels and a generally rising equity base provide structural balance-sheet support, reducing reliance on short-term external funding. That stability underpins supplier/customer confidence and helps the company absorb cyclical shocks over the next several months.
Demonstrated Cash-generation In Good YearsThe rebound in operating cash flow and strong free cash flow in FY2025 shows the business can convert earnings into cash in favorable cycles. If management sustains this conversion, it supports reinvestment, debt reduction and shareholder distributions, improving long-run flexibility.
Bears Say
Cyclical Profitability & Margin CompressionMaterial margin compression from the FY2022 peak indicates profitability is cyclical and fragile. Persistent margin swings reduce earnings visibility, force conservative capital allocation in weak periods, and make it harder to sustain returns on capital across cycles.
Volatile Free Cash FlowRepeated negative free cash flow years impair the company's ability to fund investments and dividends without external financing. This volatility increases refinancing and execution risk during downturns and limits the company's ability to pursue strategic initiatives consistently.
Recent Revenue WeaknessA -5.3% revenue decline in FY2026 suggests demand or pricing pressure that can erode scale and leverage. Continued top-line contraction would stress margins and cash flow, making it harder to stabilize earnings and justify sustained investment or growth initiatives.
