NMDC Limited
NMDC Limited, an Indian mining enterprise, primarily focuses on the exploration and production of iron ore. Its extensive mineral portfolio extends to copper, rock phosphate, limestone, dolomite, gypsum, bentonite, magnesite, diamonds, tin, tungsten, graphite, beach sands, gold, and coal. The company operates major iron ore mines at the Bailadila complexes (Kirandul and Bacheli) in Chhattisgarh and the Donimalai region (Donimalai, Kumaraswamy, and Ramandurg) in Karnataka, along with a diamond mining project in Panna, Madhya Pradesh. Diversifying its activities, NMDC also manufactures and sells sponge iron and pellets, and generates and distributes wind power. Its iron ore products are exported to international markets, including Japan and South Korea. Originally established in 1958 as National Mineral Development Corporation Limited, the company is headquartered in Hyderabad, India.
