Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Strong 2025 Revenue ReboundA large 45.9% top-line rebound in 2025 indicates meaningful demand recovery and project ramp-up. Durable revenue growth improves project economics, supports long-term cash flow visibility for wind assets, and strengthens the company’s ability to fund development and operations over the medium term.
Improved Operating Cash FlowConsistently positive and rising operating cash flow (2.29B in 2025) signals that core asset operations generate real cash. For a capital-intensive renewables platform, sustained OCF supports ongoing maintenance, debt servicing and staged project development, offering a more resilient funding base than earnings alone.
Asset-backed Renewable Business ModelOwning and operating wind farms creates recurring power-sale cash flows and tangible asset collateral. This business model benefits from long-lived assets, predictable generation profiles and structural policy and demand support for renewables, giving the company durable revenue sources and financing advantage for projects.
Bears Say
Sharp Margin DeteriorationA collapse in net margin to ~5.5% reflects materially weaker earnings quality and suggests higher operating or non-operating costs. Persistently lower margins reduce retained earnings, impair ROE, and make the business more sensitive to cost shocks and commodity or regulatory swings over the medium term.
Persistent Negative Free Cash FlowOngoing negative FCF indicates the company must continually reinvest or raise external capital to fund growth. This reliance increases execution and market risk, constrains flexibility for deleveraging or dividends, and raises the probability of dilutive financing or higher-cost debt over time.
Elevated And Rising LeverageHigh and rising leverage (~2.23 D/E) leaves the firm exposed to refinancing and interest-rate pressure, reducing financial flexibility. In a capital-intensive industry, elevated debt amplifies earnings volatility, raises servicing costs, and limits capacity to absorb project setbacks or invest opportunistically.
