Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
Conservative Balance Sheet / Low LeverageLow debt (debt-to-equity ~0.09 in 2025) and materially reduced total debt improve financial resilience, lower refinancing risk and provide capacity to fund operations, product development or opportunistic investments. Equity erosion from losses tempers the benefit and requires monitoring over the medium term.
Improved Cash Generation In 2025Operating cash flow and free cash flow turned positive in 2025, signaling improved cash conversion and tighter working-capital management. That strengthens near-term liquidity, reduces reliance on external financing and supports internal funding for maintenance or targeted investments, though absolute cash levels remain modest and have been volatile.
Recurring Consumable Revenue StreamThe business sells single-use consumables alongside reusable instruments; consumables create recurring, procedure-linked revenue and customer stickiness. Structurally this supports revenue resilience and predictability tied to surgical volumes, aiding margin visibility and repeat purchase dynamics versus one-off device sales.
Bears Say
Revenue Softness / Flat-to-down TrendRevenue decreased ~2.6% in 2025 after prior flat/slight declines, indicating weak demand or competitive pressure. Persistent top-line softness limits ability to leverage fixed costs, constrains reinvestment capacity and makes margin recovery harder absent new product adoption, expanded distribution, or market share gains.
Ongoing Net Losses And Negative Operating ProfitThe company remains loss-making (2025 net loss ~-7.7% margin) and recorded negative operating profit, showing it has not returned to sustained profitability since 2022. Continued losses erode shareholder equity, limit reinvestment and strategic flexibility, and increase dependence on cash flow improvements to sustain operations.
Gross Margin DeteriorationGross margins have trended down versus 2022–2023, suggesting structural pricing pressure or rising input costs in core product lines. Persistent margin erosion reduces operating leverage and free cash flow potential, meaning profitability recovery will require either regained pricing power, meaningful cost reductions, or stronger volume growth.
