User Growth and Engagement
Monthly active users (MAUs) increased 8.2% year-over-year to 44.8 million in Q4 2025. The 5th anniversary campaign for 101 Okey Yalla produced record single-event participation and drove quarterly revenue to all-time highs, increasing more than 20% year-over-year for that event.
Gaming Segment Momentum
Revenues from game services grew 9.1% year-over-year in 2025. Management reported encouraging test data for new titles (Match-3 'Turbo Match' and a desert-themed SLG) and expects these mid-core and hard-core games to begin contributing meaningful revenue in H2 2026.
Cost Efficiency Gains
Total costs and expenses in Q4 decreased 5.7% year-over-year to USD 57.2 million. Cost of revenues fell 15.1% to USD 26.3 million, and cost of revenues as a percentage of total revenue improved to 31.4% from 34.2% year-over-year, driven by lower commission fees and diversified payment channels.
Strong Liquidity and Capital Returns
Cash, restricted cash, term deposits and short-term investments totaled USD 754.6 million as of December 31, 2025, up from USD 656.3 million a year earlier (approximately +15.0%). The company executed USD 56.6 million of its USD 150 million repurchase program in 2025 (shares repurchased are being cancelled), has USD 44 million remaining under the prior program, and the Board authorized a new repurchase program of up to USD 150 million effective March 9, 2026.
AI and Regional Market Positioning
Yalla's in-house multimodal AI model (CMIS) is being trained on large Arabic datasets and user behavior, delivering industry-leading content recognition and moderation performance in MENA. The company is embedding AI across content creation, risk management and operations to improve efficiency and engagement.
