Kagem Strong Operational and Financial Performance
Kagem generated $78 million in auction revenue in 2025 (in line with 2024) and yielded almost $40 million after deducting operating costs and CapEx. The mine benefited from good production and an improved emerald market in H2 2025; next Kagem auction expected in May.
Progress on MRM Second Processing Plant (PP2) – Throughput Demonstrated
PP2 has demonstrated the ability to attain and even exceed the 400 tonnes per hour design throughput in the wet circuit. The c.$70 million PP2 project is substantially complete and CapEx is tapering as the project moves toward completion, supporting future increases in ruby processing capacity.
Early 2026 Ruby Auction Recovery
MRM's February auction generated $53 million (early 2026), exceeding the whole of 2025's MRM ruby revenue of $50 million by about $3 million, indicating improving market reception for rubies in 2026.
Capital and Liquidity Actions Completed
Completed a $30 million rights issue (June 2025) and sold Fabergé for $50 million (August 2025), materially strengthening the balance sheet. Gross cash at year-end was $64 million and including auction receivables net debt reduces from $39 million to about $18.7 million.
Cost Discipline and Controlled CapEx at Kagem
Operating expenses fell ~17% to $129 million year-on-year, reflecting cost control and a pause in Kagem operations in H1 2025. Kagem CapEx remained controlled with disciplined capital allocation.
