Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
Low Leverage And Stronger Capital BaseKojima's materially lower debt-to-equity (~0.14 in FY2025) and steady equity growth create durable financial flexibility. A conservative capital structure reduces refinancing risk, supports investment or M&A optionality, and cushions earnings volatility across economic cycles.
Accelerating Revenue RecoveryA strong FY2025 revenue rebound (+34.6%) indicates renewed demand or market share gains after multi-year weakness. Sustained top-line recovery improves scale economics potential, gives management room to stabilize margins, and underpins medium-term operational planning.
Positive But Improving Return On EquityROE of ~6.7% coupled with rising equity suggests the business is generating positive shareholder returns while building capital. This combination supports reinvestment capacity and long-term resilience, even as management works to restore ROI toward historical peaks.
Bears Say
Thin Operating And Net MarginsOperating margin near 2.4% and net margin around 1.7% leave limited buffer for cost inflation or price pressure. Low structural margins constrain reinvestment, reduce tolerance for cyclical downturns, and limit long-term free cash generation unless margins sustainably improve.
Volatile And Weak Cash-flow ConversionIrregular OCF and FCF that fell to ~27% of net income in FY2025 (and was negative in FY2023) indicate working-capital swings or timing risk. Unstable cash conversion raises financing and dividend risk and limits dependable funding for capex or strategic initiatives.
Margins Not Recovered To Prior Peaks; Cost SensitivityMargins below FY2020–FY2022 levels imply reduced pricing power or higher structural costs. Persistent sensitivity to cost/price swings increases revenue-to-profit variability and makes long-term margin expansion uncertain without strategic shifts or efficiency gains.
