Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
Improved ProfitabilitySustained EBIT growth and stronger margins since 2023 indicate durable operational improvement from pricing, mix or cost control. Higher recurring operating profits improve the firm’s ability to fund investment, dividends and navigate cyclicality over the next 2–6 months.
Consistent Positive Free Cash FlowMulti-year positive free cash flow shows the business can generate real cash after reinvestment. That improves funding capacity for capex, dividends and debt servicing, providing durable financial flexibility even if revenue is cyclical.
Stronger Equity BaseA materially larger equity base strengthens the balance sheet and absorbs shocks, supporting creditworthiness and long-term resilience. This buffer helps the company withstand cyclical downturns or execute strategic investments over coming months.
Bears Say
Rising Leverage In 2026A sudden increase in absolute debt raises financial risk and interest burden, reducing flexibility to invest or absorb shocks. If cyclical earnings soften, higher leverage could force cost cutting or slower deleveraging, materially affecting stability.
Cyclicality And Revenue VolatilityUneven top-line trends indicate demand sensitivity and reliance on mix/pricing rather than steady volume growth. Persistent cyclicality makes forecasting and capital allocation harder and raises the risk that profits reverse if end-markets weaken.
Moderate Cash Conversion / Capital IntensityOnly moderate conversion of earnings to free cash and past negative OCF highlight capital intensity and uneven cash generation. This limits the firm’s ability to rapidly pay down debt or expand without external funding, constraining strategic optionality.
