Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Improved ProfitabilityProfitability has recovered materially since 2021, with durable operating margins near 20% and net margins around 9.6%. Sustained margins support reinvestment capacity, RONA and shareholder returns and provide a buffer against cyclical traffic swings in the medium term.
Stronger Leverage ProfileLeverage has moved from a stressed post‑pandemic position to a more moderate ~0.84x debt/equity, improving financial flexibility. Lower relative debt reduces refinancing and interest strain and supports capital allocation for maintenance and targeted investments over the next several quarters.
Improving Cash GenerationOperating and free cash flows are positive and trending up, with FCF increasing materially year‑over‑year. This enhances the company’s ability to fund capex, service debt and sustain distributions without relying on external financing, strengthening medium‑term financial resilience.
Bears Say
TTM Revenue DipA recent TTM revenue decline signals moderation after prior rebounds; for an airport operator reliant on passenger volumes and tourism, slower top‑line growth can pressure long‑run fee and concession revenue expansion and limit margin upside absent network or route gains.
Inconsistent Cash ConversionCash conversion remains uneven with FCF roughly half of net income in TTM, implying working capital or capex timing can erode liquidity. Persistent variability undermines durable free cash generation and could constrain investment or distributions during weaker traffic periods.
Sizable Debt, Limited Asset GrowthAlthough leverage improved, absolute debt remains significant while assets haven't expanded materially, reducing room to pivot or finance major projects. This constrains strategic flexibility and increases vulnerability if traffic or tariff frameworks deteriorate.
