Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Diverse Product PortfolioTejas’s broad suite (optical transport, packet/ethernet, broadband access) targets multiple telecom end-markets and public-sector programs. That product diversity supports recurring project and AMC revenue, reduces single-product dependence, and aligns with long-term telecom upgrade cycles.
Material Equity BufferA sizeable equity base provides a structural capital buffer to absorb losses, support operations and R&D through downturns, and maintain bidding capacity for large tenders. This balance-sheet headroom helps preserve strategic optionality while recovery initiatives execute.
Demonstrated Ability To Return To ProfitabilityHistorical turns to positive cash flow and a prior profitable year indicate the business model can generate operating cash and margins when demand normalizes. This suggests recoverable unit economics and that losses may reflect cyclical/project timing rather than structural failure.
Bears Say
Severe Revenue CollapseAn abrupt 78% revenue drop is a durable red flag: it erodes scale economics, weakens supplier and customer leverage, and likely reflects lost contracts or canceled projects. Rebuilding sales will take multiple quarters, constraining margin recovery and predictable cash generation.
Multi-year Negative Cash FlowSustained negative OCF and FCF over several years depletes liquidity and forces reliance on external funding. Prolonged cash burn limits ability to invest in products, support customers, or bid competitively on large tenders, increasing solvency and execution risk over the medium term.
Rising LeverageA marked increase in leverage reduces financial flexibility, raises interest and covenant pressure, and constrains strategic choices. Combined with operating losses, higher debt intensifies refinancing and liquidity risk, making recovery initiatives more dependent on securing funding.
