Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Revenue And Profit RecoverySustained revenue growth and materially higher net income in FY2026 reflect improving commercial traction with OEMs and better capacity utilisation. Over the next 2–6 months this trend supports predictable order flow, stable production schedules, and margin recovery as fixed costs are absorbed.
Stronger Cash GenerationA sharp rebound in operating and free cash flow provides durable capacity to service debt, fund tooling/capex, and invest in operational improvements. Even allowing for volatility, improved cash conversion in FY2026 enhances liquidity profiles and lowers reliance on external financing in the medium term.
Return To Positive EquityRestoring positive equity after several loss years materially improves solvency metrics and lender confidence. This change expands financing options, reduces bankruptcy risk over the next several months, and enables the company to pursue normal supplier and contract terms more easily.
Bears Say
Historic Balance-Sheet FragilityA multi-year history of negative equity and elevated borrowings leaves structural leverage risk. Even with recent recovery, past weakness limits financial flexibility, raises refinancing and covenant breach risk, and constrains strategic choices like large capex or M&A over the next 2–6 months.
Cash-Flow VolatilitySharp swings in operating cash—negative in FY2025 then strong in FY2026—indicate inconsistent cash conversion and working-capital sensitivity. This volatility can strain liquidity during downturns, complicate debt servicing and supplier financing, and necessitate larger cash buffers.
Thin Margins & Mixed Earnings QualityLow net margins and indications of one-offs or reclassifications reduce earnings resilience. The business is exposed to commodity and pricing pressure, so profitability can swing materially with small cost or demand changes, making sustainable margin expansion uncertain over the medium term.
