Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Scale And Growing Balance SheetThe bank's total assets expanded materially over five years, with equity growth alongside; this scale supports a diversified deposit base and lending capacity, enabling durable revenue sources and risk dispersion across many borrower segments over the next several quarters.
Historically Strong MarginsConsistently high net profit margins in prior years indicate an ability to control funding and operating costs and extract spreads from core lending activities; this margin framework provides resilience if revenue stabilizes, supporting earning power over a multimonth horizon.
Diversified Retail And SME FranchiseA business mix spanning retail, SMEs and corporates and both branch and digital distribution offers structural benefits: stable deposit inflows, cross-sell opportunity, and less concentration risk, which underpin recurring income and customer stickiness over medium-term cycles.
Bears Say
Weak Cash GenerationRepeated negative operating and free cash flows across multiple recent years indicate cash generation is inconsistent and fragile; this raises structural funding and liquidity sensitivity, increasing reliance on wholesale funding or balance-sheet maneuvers over coming months.
Sustained Revenue Decline And VolatilityConsecutive revenue declines and a volatile 2025 figure suggest instability in core top-line drivers; persistent or recurring revenue weakness undermines margin sustainability and complicates planning for loan growth, provisioning and capital allocation over the medium term.
Rising Leverage And Lower ROEA large one-year spike in borrowings and a meaningful drop in return on equity indicate more aggressive leverage and diminished capital efficiency; this elevates solvency and profitability risk, and may constrain strategic flexibility across the next several quarters.
