Flight Test Progress Nearing Completion
Piloted full-scale prototype flight testing has been underway for ~20 months and the pilot transition phase is in its tail end; company estimates less than 10% of transition test points remain. Prototype #3 completed commissioning and the team recently had both prototypes running simultaneously. Critical Design Review (CDR) is expected by mid-2026, which will enable full-rate work on preproduction aircraft and support certification credit.
Product Differentiation and Customer/Partner Interest
Valo positioned as a differentiated eVTOL with a roomy cabin, large luggage bay, modular 4→5→6 passenger sizing, pilot/passenger separation and upgradability to hybrid. Announced customer partnerships and networks including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Heli Air Monaco and JetSetGo, and showcased Valo in London, New York, Miami and Atlanta with strong positive feedback from airlines, regulators and investors.
Battery Technology and Manufacturing Progress
Battery pilot production line is operational and a new 30,000 sq. ft. Vertical Energy Center is under development to expand manufacturing capacity. Battery-as-a-Service business projected to deliver ~40% gross margin. Batteries expected to be replaced roughly once per year over a ~20-year aircraft life, with second-life use cases (after ~93% degradation threshold) offering additional revenue opportunities.
Industrialization Milestones and Upcoming Events
Plans to open two new manufacturing facilities in 2026, begin assembly of the first preproduction Valo this year, and fly at the Farnborough Air Show. Investor Day planned at the Vertical Energy Center in July to showcase progress.
Fiscal Discipline in FY2025 Spend
FY2025 spend was in line with guidance of $110–$125 million, a level the company notes is a fraction of competitor spend while delivering industry-leading full-scale piloted and regulated test progress. Management reports completion of almost 100% of 2025 stated milestones.
Supplier and Tier-1 Relationships
Major Tier-1 partnerships largely contracted (examples: Honeywell, Aciturri). New critical supplier partnership announced with Evolito (EPU supplier) and supplier strategy aligned to support certification and ramp.
