We also stress that ELBM’s deal includes an option to extend this agreement to 2032. We emphasize that the price of cobalt sulfate is up over 90% since the beginning of 2025. In turn, the updated agreement therefore allows for 40% exposure to spot prices across Electra’s future production. The company’s cobalt sulfate refinery was initially designed to produce 5,120 tonnes of contained cobalt per year, in addition to a crystallizer capacity of up to 6,500 tonnes annually. We therefore view Electra as a predominant domestic supplier of cobalt sulfate for North America, and as a company with the potential to generate meaningful revenue at current cobalt sulfate spot prices. Electra announced the approval of its $73.0M construction budget and the current timeline for its cobalt sulfate refinery.
