Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Revenue GrowthA meaningful rebound in top-line to €2,435M in 2025 signals durable demand recovery and successful market penetration. Sustained revenue momentum supports scale advantages in procurement, distribution and omnichannel mix, underpinning multi-quarter earnings resilience and investment capacity.
Strong Cash GenerationConsistent operating cash flow (€465M) and robust free cash flow (€352M) demonstrate high cash conversion ability. This durable cash generation supports reinvestment, dividends and debt servicing, giving management flexibility to fund expansion or weather cyclical pressures without relying on equity markets.
High ROE & Equity GrowthStrong return on equity (~20.8%) alongside rising shareholders' equity (€982M) indicates effective capital allocation and profitable operations. High ROE implies the business earns well on invested capital, supporting sustainable shareholder returns and the ability to fund organic expansion over multiple quarters.
Bears Say
Higher LeverageLeverage near 0.9 reduces balance-sheet flexibility compared with prior lower-debt periods. In a capital-intensive retail model, elevated leverage can constrain funding for new stores or M&A, increase interest exposure and limit resilience against prolonged sales shocks over the medium term.
Gross Margin DeclineA sharp gross margin drop in 2025 suggests pressure from product mix, pricing or cost of goods. If structural (supplier costs or competitive pricing), this can erode long-term profitability and compress operating leverage, making net-margin improvements harder to sustain across multiple quarters.
Volatile Cash ConversionWidely varying cash conversion ratios point to working-capital swings or timing effects. Persistent volatility complicates free-cash-flow forecasting, may force precautionary liquidity buffers, and can hamper consistent capital returns or reinvestment plans across several reporting periods.
