Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
Margin RecoveryKendrion returned to positive operating and net margins in 2025, reflecting improved cost coverage and pricing on engineered products. Sustained mid-single-digit margins boost internal funding capacity for R&D and capex, supporting product qualification and long-term competitiveness.
Free Cash FlowConsistent positive operating and free cash flow in 2025 indicates the business can generate cash from core operations. Durable FCF supports reinvestment, dividend coverage and debt reduction, improving financial flexibility across business cycles if sustained.
Lower LeverageMaterial deleveraging to a ~0.39 debt/equity ratio reduces refinancing and covenant risk and increases resilience to demand shocks. Combined with a positive ROE, the balance sheet now provides capacity to support targeted investments or withstand cyclical downturns.
Bears Say
Revenue ContractionA nearly 20% revenue decline in 2025 erodes scale and puts pressure on fixed-cost absorption and long-term margin sustainability. Continued top-line weakness would limit the company's ability to convert engineering wins into serial production volumes and stable recurring revenue.
Earnings VolatilityPast swings between losses and profits and uneven cash conversion demonstrate limited earnings durability. This volatility complicates planning, raises the probability that current margin and cash improvements could reverse, and increases investor and creditor uncertainty.
OEM CyclicalityReliance on OEM programs and long qualification cycles makes demand lumpy and highly sensitive to automotive and industrial capex cycles. Structural cyclicality can delay revenue recognition from engineering wins and magnify downturns when OEM production slows.
