The company's core offerings include traditional fixed-line telephony, encompassing local, domestic long-distance, and international calling, as well as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and essential interconnection services. Furthermore, KT provides extensive broadband internet access and related online functionalities, alongside robust data communication solutions like dedicated fixed-line and leased line services. Beyond fundamental connectivity, KT is a significant participant in the media and content sector, offering services such as IPTV, satellite television, digital music, e-commerce platforms, online advertising consultation, and a diverse selection of digital comics and novels. The corporation also extends its activities into financial services, notably through credit card processing, and delivers a comprehensive suite of information technology, network management, and satellite communication services. KT engages in the sale of mobile handsets and various telecommunications equipment. Established in 1981 as Korea Telecom Corp., the company officially rebranded as KT Corporation in March 2002. Its corporate headquarters are located in Seongnam, South Korea.
