Its diverse operations are organized into five distinct divisions: Leasing, Sales, Construction, Brokerage, and an 'Other' category. The Leasing segment manages and leases commercial properties, such as office buildings and residential apartments, in addition to overseeing hotels, event venues, retail centers, and land holdings. Through its Sales division, the company markets and disposes of properties like condominiums and standalone houses. The Construction unit handles the building and renovation of both individual homes and multi-unit residential developments. Its Brokerage arm provides real estate intermediation services and acts as a sales agent for residential properties. The 'Other' segment encompasses ventures in the fitness and hospitality (restaurant) industries. Established in 1949 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company was originally known as Izumi Real Estate Co., Ltd. until it adopted its current name, Sumitomo Realty & Development Co., Ltd., in 1957.
