Operating as an investment holding enterprise, China Rare Earth Holdings Limited specializes in the production and global distribution of rare earth and refractory materials, with its market spanning the People's Republic of China, Japan, Europe, and other international regions. The company's rare earth products are vital for a wide array of high-tech applications, including components for electronic devices, computers, electric motors, LCDs, DVDs, magnetic materials, memory chips, fiber optics, superconductors, mobile phone batteries, and precision optics, as well as various energy-saving and eco-friendly innovations. Additionally, it manufactures and supplies high-temperature ceramic refractory products, which are crucial for heat-treatment facilities in diverse industries such as petrochemicals, steel and non-ferrous metallurgy, glass, construction materials, chemical fertilizers, and ceramics. Beyond manufacturing, the firm also engages in the trading of rare earth commodities and the production and sale of magnesium grain products. Founded in 1987 and based in Yixing, PRC, the company was formerly known as Yixing Xinwei Holdings Limited before adopting its current name in May 2000.
