Global Brokerage, Inc. (GBI) operates globally, offering a comprehensive suite of online financial trading services, including foreign exchange (FX), contracts for difference (CFDs), and spread betting. These services cater to both individual (retail) and professional (institutional) clients. Central to its operations is a proprietary trading platform that aggregates and presents competitive price quotations for various currency pairs, sourced directly from a diverse network of global banks, financial institutions, and market makers. Beyond direct trading access, the company functions as a credit intermediary. In this capacity, it facilitates transactions by simultaneously executing trades with both the customer and the underlying FX market maker, thereby granting clients seamless entry to the vast over-the-counter (OTC) FX markets. Notably, the entity was formerly known as FXCM Inc., undergoing a name change to Global Brokerage, Inc. in February 2017. Established in 2010, Global Brokerage, Inc. maintains its headquarters in New York, New York.
