ITT Educational Services, Inc. (ESI) functioned as a higher education institution in the United States, offering postsecondary degrees. It provided master's, bachelor's, and associate's degree programs to approximately 45,000 students. The company also delivered short-duration learning solutions in information technology and business, aimed at career advancers and other professionals. Its extensive academic catalog covered various fields. Business programs included areas like accounting, administration, and marketing. Drafting and design specializations ranged from architectural, civil, and computer-aided design to interior design and multimedia communications. Electronics technology featured communications, computer technology, and industrial electronics. Criminal justice offerings addressed corrections, cybersecurity, and investigations. Information technology programs encompassed network administration, software development, and technical support. Additionally, through its Breckinridge School of Nursing and Health Sciences, ITT ESI provided training in health information technology, medical assisting, and nursing. Ultimately, on September 16, 2016, ITT Educational Services Inc. and its affiliated entities formally commenced Chapter 7 liquidation proceedings by submitting a voluntary petition to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
