We believe Intuit’s AI capabilities are compelling and quite practical for SMBs. They do not require significant upfront work to implement and offer quick ROI. The Anthropic announcement also adds something compelling for large companies using Intuit that want something more customized. to medium term, Intuit does not plan to directly monetize its AI capabilities. Instead, its own AI agents are available for free to paid customers, with more specialized agents available in higher price SKUs. Again this lowers the barrier to AI adoption for Intuit’s customers and drives its competitive advantage. The economic benefit for Intuit will likely come through new customer growth, increased adoption of the full suite, and upsell to premium SKUs.
