Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S.A. - Eletrobras, operating via its various subsidiaries, is a pivotal entity in Brazil's energy landscape, responsible for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity across the country. Its power portfolio is extensive, drawing from hydroelectric, thermal (encompassing coal, oil, and natural gas), nuclear, wind, and solar plants. As of December 31, 2021, the company's operational assets included 32 hydroelectric facilities boasting a combined installed capacity of 46,295.75 megawatts. It also managed nine thermal power units providing 1,505 megawatts, alongside two nuclear stations: Angra I, with a capacity of 640 megawatts, and Angra II, contributing 1,350 megawatts. Furthermore, Eletrobras oversees a vast 66,556-kilometer network of electricity transmission lines. The company, established in 1962, maintains its corporate headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
