Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais S.A. is a prominent Brazilian corporation specializing in the manufacture and global distribution of flat steel products. Its comprehensive operations are structured across three distinct segments. The Mining and Logistics division manages the extraction and processing of various iron ore types, including pellet and sinter feed, in addition to offering extensive services for storage, handling, and road and rail cargo transportation, leveraging its own highway and railway terminals. The Steel Metallurgy segment focuses on the core production of steel products, which it then sells, and also includes the manufacturing and installation of equipment for diverse industries. Finally, the Steel Transformation segment adds value by converting cold-rolled coils into hot-dip galvanized coils. This segment also encompasses a range of specialized services, such as technology transfer for the steel sector, project management for civil construction and capital goods industries, dedicated road transport for flat steel, and advanced surface treatments like texturing and chrome plating of cylinders. USIMINAS caters to a broad array of markets, including the automotive sector, construction, distribution networks, energy, home appliances (white line), oil and gas, and heavy machinery. Founded in 1956, the company maintains its headquarters in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
