National Bank of Greece S.A. (NBG), a prominent financial institution, delivers a comprehensive suite of financial products and services across a broad international footprint. Its operations span Greece, the United Kingdom, North Macedonia, Romania, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Malta, Egypt, and Luxembourg. NBG organizes its diverse activities into several key operational divisions: Retail Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, a dedicated Trouble Assets Unit, Global Markets and Asset Management, Insurance, International Banking Operations, and Other services. Retail Banking caters to individuals, professionals, and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This segment offers a wide array of services including various deposit and investment options, bancassurance, mortgage and consumer loans, financing for small businesses, and a full spectrum of card products (debit, credit, and prepaid). These services are accessible through its extensive branch network and digital platforms. The Corporate & Investment Banking segment provides tailored financial and investment advisory, deposit solutions, lending facilities, foreign exchange, and trade finance to its corporate clientele. It also specializes in providing credit to large and medium-sized corporations, alongside dedicated shipping finance services. A dedicated Trouble Assets Unit is responsible for the management and recovery of non-performing loans. The Global Markets and Asset Management division handles treasury operations, and offers comprehensive asset management, custody, private equity, and brokerage services. NBG's Insurance segment provides a diverse range of insurance products. Through its foreign branches, the International Banking Operations segment delivers a full suite of traditional commercial banking services, including commercial and retail credit, trade financing, foreign exchange, and deposit products. This segment also encompasses international shipping finance, investment banking, and brokerage activities. The "Other" segment primarily focuses on real estate management and warehousing operations. Within Greece, as of December 31, 2021, NBG maintains a substantial physical presence, featuring 337 branches, 16 Transaction Offices, 2 I-Bank Stores, and an extensive network of 1,474 ATMs. Established in 1841, National Bank of Greece S.A. is headquartered in Athens, Greece.
