ETF Overview
Roundhill Space & Technology ETF
Roundhill Space & Technology ETF (MARS) is an actively managed, theme-focused equity ETF that seeks capital appreciation by investing in global companies directly engaged in — or enabling — the expanding space economy. The fund targets businesses across the full space value chain, from satellite and launch vehicle manufacturers to firms supplying sensors, propulsion systems, robotics, advanced materials, and the ground-based infrastructure and software that support space operations.
MARS employs a proprietary thematic-relevance framework to identify companies whose products, services or technologies are meaningfully exposed to current and emerging space industry opportunities. That methodology helps the portfolio manager blend pure-play space companies with broader technology and industrial firms that provide critical enabling capabilities — for example semiconductor and communications suppliers, cloud and data analytics providers powering earth observation and satellite data services, and defense contractors with space programs.
Designed to capture long-term structural growth drivers — falling launch costs, satellite constellation deployments, rising commercial and government spending, expanded satellite broadband and earth-imaging applications, and nascent markets such as in-orbit servicing and space tourism — the ETF offers diversified global exposure across market caps and geographies. Active management allows the fund to adjust positioning as technologies mature and new commercial opportunities emerge.
MARS is intended for investors seeking concentrated thematic exposure to the space ecosystem as part of a broader, diversified portfolio. Given its sectoral and thematic focus, investors should be prepared for higher volatility and company-level concentration risk inherent in emerging-technology themes, and consider a long-term investment horizon to capture the secular growth potential of the space economy.
