ETF Overview
Direxion Daily SpaceX Bull 2X ETF
Direxion Daily SpaceX Bull 2X ETF (LOFF) is a leveraged, sector-focused exchange-traded fund that seeks to deliver 200% of the daily performance of Space Exploration Technologies Corp. Class A (NASDAQ: SPCX). The fund achieves this amplified exposure primarily through derivatives—such as total return swaps, forwards and options—and may use cash and cash equivalents as collateral to obtain the targeted daily return before fees and expenses.
Positioned in the Communication Services sector with a concentrated Alternative Carriers niche, LOFF provides a targeted way to express a bullish view on SpaceX and its Starlink satellite broadband and broader aerospace activities—business lines that act as alternative telecommunications carriers to traditional wireline and wireless providers. Because the fund is essentially a one-company, sector-niche play, it offers highly concentrated exposure to developments specific to SpaceX and the satellite communications market.
LOFF is intended for active traders and tactical investors seeking short-term, leveraged exposure rather than long-term buy-and-hold allocation. As a daily-resetting 2x product, its performance is path-dependent: over periods longer than one trading day the fund’s returns can diverge materially from two times the cumulative return of SPCX due to compounding, volatility drag and the effects of rebalancing.
Investors should be aware of the heightened risks inherent in this strategy: leverage magnifies both gains and losses; derivative use introduces counterparty and liquidity risk; and concentration in a single issuer increases idiosyncratic risk. Before investing, review the fund’s prospectus for details on strategy, fees, risks and suitability to ensure it aligns with your trading horizon and risk tolerance.
