What is Monero?
Monero
Monero was created by seven founders in 2014 with a focus on privacy and anonymity. While the identity of a party on a blockchain can be traced back, XMR uses cryptography to obscure the identities of its participants.
The token enables transactions at speed and with fewer fees while also maintaining an emphasis on privacy. XMR employs the Proof-of-Work mechanism and obscures identities with the help of ring signatures and RingCT.
At present, a new block is created about every two minutes and there is no maximum block size. A block reward penalty and a dynamic block size provide dynamic scalability for XMR.
