Q4 underlying net income of $1.1 billion (up 13% YoY) and underlying EPS of $1.96 (up 17% YoY). Full-year underlying EPS growth of 12% and full-year underlying earnings growth of 9%. Q4 underlying ROE of 19.1% and full-year underlying ROE of 18.2%.
Robust Capital Position
LICAT ratio of 157% (up 3 percentage points from Q3). Generated $4.2 billion of organic capital in 2025 and returned $3.7 billion to shareholders via dividends and share buybacks (including ~$400 million in buybacks in the quarter). Dividend payout ratio of 47%.
Asset Management Scale and Progress
Overall assets under management exceeded $1.6 trillion; asset management platform ended 2025 with $1.2 trillion of third-party AUM. SLC Management delivered $242 million of underlying net income in 2025, exceeding its Investor Day target of $235 million.
SLC Management Fee Growth and Fundraising
Q4 fee-related earnings of $99 million (up 25% YoY) and pretax fee-related earnings margin of 27.5% (up 450 bps YoY). Capital raising of $6.4 billion and deployments of $10.6 billion in the quarter; fee-earning AUM of $200 billion (up 4% YoY).
MFS Performance and Cash Generation
MFS underlying net income of USD 224 million (up 4% YoY) and AUM of USD 651 billion (up 8% YoY). Full-year gross flows of over USD 121 billion (up 21% YoY). MFS contributed strong margins and cash flow to Sun Life, including CAD 1.0 billion in dividends/remittances for the organization.
Outstanding Results in Asia
Asia Q4 underlying net income of $207 million (up 19% YoY on constant currency). Individual protection sales up 50% YoY (Hong Kong sales +111% YoY; Indonesia +43% YoY). New business CSM of $300 million (up 49% YoY); total CSM $6.7 billion (up 18% YoY).
Strong Canada and U.S. Performance
Canada: Q4 underlying net income $417 million (up 14% YoY) with record underlying ROE of 30.1%; gross and wealth sales up 46% YoY; Group Retirement Services sales doubled. U.S.: underlying net income up 30% YoY with Group Health & Protection earnings up 33% and record stop-loss sales growth of 58% YoY.
Digital and Client Engagement Momentum
Launched Sun Life Essentials digital group retirement solution; mobile app reimagined produced 62% more traffic and 81% greater enrollments for wealth engagement. Ongoing digital transformation improved underwriting, onboarding and claims processing times.
Operational and Cultural Achievements
Dental returned to profit this quarter; SLC Management exceeded Investor Day earnings target; Great Place to Work recertification in 9 countries and SLC named a Best Place to Work in Money Management for the 6th consecutive year.
