Increase in Lithium Carbonate Production
Cauchari-Olaroz produced approximately 6,800 tons of lithium carbonate in Q3 2024, marking a 21% increase from the second quarter. The plant is operating at 75% to 80% of nameplate capacity, with expectations to maintain this level into 2025.
Reduction in Processing Costs
The additional processing costs to achieve battery quality lithium carbonate have been reduced from $2,000 to $1,500 per ton, positively impacting margins despite downward lithium price pressures.
Advancement in Stage 2 Development
Progress has been made on Stage 2 at Cauchari-Olaroz and the regional development plan around Pastos Grandes basin, with completion expected in the coming months.
