The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is the private-sector arm of the World Bank Group, established in 1956 and headquartered in Washington, D.C. IFC provides investment (equity and debt), advisory services, guarantees, and fund management to mobilize capital for private companies and projects in developing countries.
