Solidion Technology (STI) stock rocketed higher on Monday after the energy storage development company announced a new battery system designed to power artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. The company intends to release the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system for commercial use starting in the first quarter of 2026.

Solidion Technology provided several details about its AI UPS system that will have consumers and investors excited. Among them are a compact design that reduces space by up to 30%, lower maintenance requirements and streamlined assembly, a battery cell that lasts three times longer than conventional methods, and simplified battery rack, pack, and harness configurations to reduce project costs.

Solidion Technology Stock Movement Today

Solidion Technology stock was up 77.78% in pre-market trading on Monday, following a 1.86% rally on Friday. The shares have dropped 84.24% year-to-date and 69.55% over the past 12 months. With today’s news came heavy pre-market trading of STI stock. This saw more than 24 million shares exchanged this morning, compared to a three-month daily average of about 3.31 million units.
