Notably, Brent crude (CM:BZ) rose 1.22% to $103.16 per barrel, while WTI crude (CM:CL) gained 1.36% to $94.23.

Earlier in the day, major indices closed strongly, with the Nasdaq and S&P 500 logging their fourth record closes in six sessions. The Nasdaq, the S&P 500, and the Dow rose 1.6%, 1.1%, and 0.7%, respectively.

Among individual stocks, Tesla (TSLA) rose initially on strong results but later slipped after CEO Elon Musk warned capital spending would rise “substantially” as it invests in AI-driven self-driving cars and humanoid robots. Meanwhile, IBM (IBM) and ServiceNow (NOW) led losses in after-hours trading, falling about 7% and 13%, respectively, after earnings.

Looking ahead, earnings reports are due from American Airlines (AAL), NextEra Energy (NEE), Honeywell (HON), Intel (INTC), Lockheed Martin (LMT), and American Express (AXP) tomorrow. On the economic front, initial jobless claims, S&P flash U.S. services PMI, and S&P flash U.S. manufacturing PMI will be released on Thursday.
