U.S. retail giant Walmart (WMT) is looking for the brightest and best young tech talent around the world to help it continue its move into AI and automation.

Global Tech Roles
The company is, according to advertisements posted on social media site LinkedIn, highlighting its technological opportunities as part of its latest graduate internship round.
The adverts inform students that by signing up to a role at Walmart Global Tech they can “work on real-world systems, build scalable tech used by millions and learn from top engineers.” They are looking for freshers, those from a computer or IT background or those looking to enter tech. They will be located in Bangalore in India.
“At Walmart, our technologists are building innovative solutions that impact millions of customers and associates around the world,” Walmart said. That includes AI, cloud and data and collaboration with its global engineering team. Walmart Global Tech has around 15,000 engineers worldwide.
Tech Push Continues
Walmart is also currently hiring recent graduates for full-time opportunities across the United States. Open Positions include Supply Chain Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Financial Analyst, Operations Analyst, Sales/Marketing Analyst, and Business Analyst
Back in January, Walmart appointed Shishir Mehrotra, Chief Executive Officer at Superhuman, formerly Grammarly, to serve on the Board’s Compensation and Management Development Committee and the Technology and eCommerce Committee.
Over the last 12 months, Walmart has embraced the AI and technological revolution. This includes developing its GenAI chatbot Sparky, which helps customers plan their purchases, and a partnership with OpenAI.
It has also moved its listing from the New York Stock Exchange to the more tech-heavy Nasdaq.
