Barclays Warns of Nearly 40% Downside

Following the earnings release, Barclays analyst Benjamin Theurer maintained a Sell-equivalent Underweight rating on BYND stock and kept his price target at just $0.50. That target suggests nearly 40% downside from current trading levels.

Theurer pointed to persistent weakness in the company’s U.S. retail and foodservice businesses, where sales volumes continue to decline. He also noted that management did not provide full-year guidance, signaling limited visibility into a near-term recovery.

TD Cowen Sees Nearly 28% Downside for BYND Stock

Likewise, TD Cowen analyst Robert Moskow also reiterated a Sell rating on Beyond Meat stock with a $0.60 price target. The target implies roughly 28% downside from current levels.

Moskow said the company continues to show “deterioration” across key business metrics. Beyond Meat reported a 15% decline in revenue during the quarter, driven mainly by a sharp 20% drop in sales volume.

The analyst also expects another double-digit percentage decline in Q2, pointing to continued weakness across the plant-based food category.

Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Moderate Sell consensus rating on BYND stock based on three Holds and three Sells assigned in the past three months. Further, the average BYND price target of $0.66 per share implies 20.78% downside potential.
