U.S. stock futures were mostly down on Wednesday evening after a strong session as the Nasdaq and the S&P 500 notched their fourth record closes in six sessions. Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) and the S&P 500 Index (SPX) were down 0.36% and 0.13%, respectively, at 6:16 p.m. EDT on April 22, while the Nasdaq 100 (NDX) futures were up 0.01%.

Major indices closed sharply higher on Wednesday after President Donald Trump extended the U.S.’s two‑week ceasefire with Iran. The Nasdaq, the S&P 500, and the Dow rose 1.6%, 1.1%, and 0.7%, respectively.

Looking ahead, earnings reports are due from American Airlines (AAL), NextEra Energy (NEE), Honeywell (HON), Intel (INTC), Lockheed Martin (LMT), and American Express (AXP) tomorrow. On the economic front, initial jobless claims, S&P flash U.S. services PMI, and S&P flash U.S. manufacturing PMI will be released on Thursday.
