Meanwhile, President Trump told CBS News in a phone interview that Iran has “agreed to everything,” including measures to transfer its stockpile of enriched uranium. “Our people, together with the Iranians, are going to work together to go get it,” he said.

Conflicting Reports Cloud Peace Deal Outlook

Reports on the status of a peace deal are widely varied. Earlier today, reports circulated that the U.S. was considering unfreezing $20 billion of Iranian assets in exchange for the uranium, although Trump later clarified that the U.S. would not pay for it.

Furthermore, other sources report that the two sides are working toward a framework for negotiations rather than a deal, with the possibility of a ceasefire extension to allow for more time to hammer out differences.
