TSLA Stock Bummer! Tesla Recalls over 6,000 Cybertrucks for Light Bar Glitch

Tesla (TSLA) has been hit with yet another recall for its controversial Cybertruck model. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the company is recalling 6,197 Cybertrucks in the U.S. due to a faulty light bar that could detach and pose a hazard to other drivers. TSLA stock fell 0.36% in pre-market hours on Thursday.

Tesla’s Cybertruck Troubles Roll On

The NHTSA stated that Tesla will either install an additional mechanical attachment or replace the light bar free of charge.

This latest recall comes just days after Tesla pulled tens of thousands of Cybertrucks due to overly bright parking lights. However, the company moved quickly, issuing an over-the-air software update to fix the issue at no cost to drivers.

What It Could Mean for TSLA Stock

The news adds another setback for TSLA stock, which remains in the spotlight following the Q3 earnings miss and CEO Elon Musk’s pay package controversy.

At the same time, this may deepen concerns among analysts and investors about the Cybertruck’s ability to strengthen Tesla’s market position. Some experts have long questioned whether the vehicle’s unconventional design and repeated technical issues could hinder its mass-market appeal. Many even believe that winding down the model might ultimately benefit Tesla’s stock, freeing up resources for more profitable projects.

Overall, the Cybertruck’s continued issues could hurt investor confidence and put more pressure on TSLA stock.

Tesla Sets Stage for Cybercab’s Big Asia-Pacific Debut

In separate news, Tesla announced that it is set to showcase its highly anticipated self-driving EV, Cybercab, at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, scheduled from November 5–10. The event will mark the robotaxi’s official debut in the Asia-Pacific region, signaling Tesla’s push to expand its autonomous vehicle ambitions beyond the U.S. market.

Notably, Musk unveiled the autonomous Cybercab last year. It was softly launched in Austin this June with limited, invite-only access and human safety drivers on board. The company expects to begin mass production next year.
