President Trump’s approval rating among Americans has dropped to a second-term low of 36%, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS that surveyed 2,496 adults between February 17 and 20. The findings come before his State of the Union address on Tuesday, February 25 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

In addition, his approval rating among independents fell to a record low of 26%.

Among men, his approval rating sits at 40%, while 33% of women approve. Adults aged 50-64 have the highest approval rating at 46%, while adults aged 18-34 have the lowest at 25%.
Furthermore, 32% of Americans believe that Trump has the right priorities, while 68% say he hasn’t paid enough attention to the nation’s most pressing issues, a new high for either of his terms in office. Consensus concerns among respondents include the economy, the cost of living, immigration, and health care policy.
